Well. NaNo.
There are two possiblities.

1. I call the whole thing my personal NaNoFinMo and work on finishing my 2006 and /or 2007 NaNo project. The 2006 thing keeps coming back to me. There are huge parts of it that I really like, I still love my characters and think about them, and it's easy to get back in the mood for that story. I've been planning on finishing it for the last two years, but I never even got started, probably because I have no idea where it's supposed to go. What made it worse is that I'll need at least another 50k to make the story work out.
But who cares about all this when it's November! Which makes NaNoWriMo 09 the perfect time to at least begin part two of "my NaNo 2006 project that still doesn't have a working title".
In addition to this, some days ago my 2007 NaNovel, a PotC fanfic I had believed dead and buried, stirred on my external hard drive and started poking me. Rereading it I found out that the beginning is indeed as bad as I thought, but the rest seems alright, and some parts of dialogue amuse me to no end - and they were supposed to do that! I'd like to give it another chance, continue with the plot and later edit out what I don't like.

2. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] fay_morgenstern I have a new project. Other than that it's fanfic, I won't tell you what it is, because it would embarrass me if you knew. Anyway, today I just about promised her that if I didn't begin to write that thing now, I would declare it this year's NaNo project. O_o Therefore I must start with it as soon as possible - I don't think I could survive a month in the company of this Horrendous Plotbunny of utter Crack.

One thing's for sure, I won't start a completely new story this year (except for said HPouC). The old ones keep nagging me, and I can't let them go yet.

So, who's participating? What are you going to write?
